Graham To Miss Out On Tri-Nations

The Liverpudlian youngster made a successful Great Britain debut in June, scoring two tries against New Zealand in the XXXX Test at Knowsley Road and last week was named Super League young player of the year.

However, Graham will not have the chance to build on his success until next season after sustaining his injury in Saints’ 26-4 win.

Graham could be replaced in the Great Britain squad by Warrington WolvesPaul Wood, originally named in coach Brian Noble’s standby squad.

This is the second withdrawal from Noble’s squad after second-rower Paul Johnson failed to recover from a knee injury and was replaced by Andy Coley.

Meanwhile the remainder of the Great Britain squad members involved in Saturday’s Grand Final will fly out to join the Great Britain advance party on Tuesday.

The 18-man advance party will take on a Newcastle Select XIII this Friday, and  the tournament gets underway for the Lions when they take on New Zealand in Christchurch on 28th October.
