Graham to face biting allegation

James Graham is facing suspension after being accused of biting Billy Slater.

Graham was put on report after Slater made a complaint to referee Tony Archer during the first half of Canterbury’s 14-4 Grand Final loss to Melbourne.

Television pictures appear to show Graham biting Storm full back Slater’s ear during a melee following Sam Perrett‘s 26th minute try.

It is not clear what length a possible suspension could be if indeed Graham is charged by the NRL match review committee.

In June Cronulla Toyota Cup player Daniel Moroko walked away with a one match ban after biting New Zealand Warriors forward Ligi Sao.

On that occasion Moroko pleaded not guilty after submitting in his defence that Sao’s arm had been forced into his face.
