Grady wants better form from Scorpions

South Wales Scorpions coach Mike Grady wants his team to find some better form ahead of the Big Welsh Derby on May 10.

Before that date with the North Wales Crusaders at the Cardiff Arms Park, Scorpions must face Barrow Raiders and Hemel Stags, and Grady wants wins.

“It would be good to go into the Big Welsh Derby on the back of a win or two,” said the coach.

“Like us, Hemel and Barrow have struggled at the start of the season so their fans will be putting pressure on them to beat us. We won’t have as much pressure away from home.

“Last year at Cardiff Arms Park we beat London Skolars and we won there earlier this season in a friendly against Cardiff City RL.

“The ground is a special place for us but it would be good to go into the Crusaders game with some points on the board and our confidence up.

“Barrow next week is a long tough trip. As I’ve said in previous weeks, if our lads apply themselves and sort themselves out individually then they won’t be far off.

“It’s the little things that we have to sort out – we’ve been really good in training, we just need to cut out the individual errors.”
