Gower’s Knights debut delayed

It appears that Craig Gower will have to wait a little longer for his return to NRL action.

Gower, 35, recently returned to Australia as he signed for Newcastle Knights from English club London Broncos. He was expected to be named in coach Wayne Bennett’s squad for the upcoming clash with Melbourne Storm, but the playmaker has been left out of the 18.

In what has been a glittering career in both codes, Gower scored 55 tries in 238 games for Penrith Panthers before switching to rugby union in 2008.
