Gower in the mix for England

Parramatta forward David Gower is being considered for England selection for the Four Nations.

According to reports in Australia, Gower is one of three Australian-born players in the running.

Wayne Bennett told The Courier-Mail that Chris McQueen, Gower and Chris Heighington are in the mix.

McQueen has played Origin for Queensland while 2016 NRL grand final winner Heighington has previously represented England.

Gower started his career at Salford in 2006. The 31-year old has played for Wests Tigers, the Dragons, Manly and the Eels.

Sydney-born, Gower can play in both the front and back row.
