Goulding ready for Hull KR’s Cup test

Hull KR centre Darrell Goulding is expecting Bradford Bulls to be tough opponents in the Challenge Cup this weekend.

The Robins travel to Odsal for the fifth round tie on the back of a defeat to Castleford, and Goulding knows that they will have to work hard in order to enjoy a good run in the Cup in 2015.

“I got to the cup final a couple of times with Wigan and we had different runs really,” he told his club’s official website.

“In 2011, we had really hard fixtures all the way and then in 2013 we probably had a slightly easier run of fixtures on paper but that brings a bit of added pressure.

“It’s the luck of the draw but these games in particular are a test of character. We’ll be going there as the favourites with the pressure on us.

“There’s no pressure on them and we know how good a team they are.

“It’s a test for us but it’s the sort of test you have to pass if you want to have a good run in the cup.

“It’s a tough fixture and probably a bit harder with the added pressure of being the favourites but we’ve got to take that in our stride and it’s a challenge we’ll look forward to.”
