Salford hooker Wayne Godwin is one of four players set to appear in front of the RFL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday.

Godwin was sent off during his side’s defeat by Crusaders after appearing to punch the Welsh club’s fullback Clinton Schifcofske in the final minutes of the match. He has been charged with the Grade B offence of running in and punching.

He was shown a red card by referee Thierry Alibert and has expressed his regret at the incident.

Wigan forward Jeff Lima will also appear after he was charged with two offences during the Warriors draw with St Helens. Lima, who joined the club from Melbourne Storm during the close season, could face a lengthy ban after if he is found guilty of making dangerous contact with Saints duo Sia Soliola and Jon Wilkin.

Wakefield’s Aaron Murphy and Castleford forward Steve Snitch will also appear after they were charged with offences during Saturday’s match between the two clubs.

Murphy has been charged with a Grade C dangerous throw while Snitch has been charged with the Grade B offence of using undue pressure on the shoulder of Wildcats youngster Paul Johnson.
