Godinet wary of Leigh’s flair

Wakefield hooker Pita Godinet knows that his team-mates must be fully focused if they want to avoid a slip-up against Leigh this weekend.

Trinity travel to the Leigh Sports Village on Saturday, and Godinet is hoping that the Wildcats fans travel in good numbers to back their team against the Centurions.

“They’ve got plenty of flair players in their squad and they’ve got a good blend of experience too so they will be ready to give it to us on Saturday, especially in front of a home crowd,” he told his club’s official website.

“We’ve got to be 100% focused. Training’s been great so far this week, everyone’s can’t wait for the game and there’s plenty of smiles in the camp. We want to take the good things from last week into the game with us and build on them.

“If we can get a great crowd over at Leigh that would be top class. It really does help us out and give us a boost of energy when they’re making noise behind the posts.

“They’ve been great all season and I’m sure the atmosphere will be rocking this week. Leigh’s fans are pretty vocal too and they’ll try and drown us out but hopefully we can keep them quiet and come away with the win.”
