Giants youngster Dickinson joins Halifax on loan

Huddersfield have confirmed that their 19-year-old prop forward Tyler Dickinson has joined Halifax on a month’s loan.

The former England academy international has been performing well for the Giants’ Under-19s team.

“Tyler has had a decent period of full time training now and his next step forward is to play against men week in week out, which the chance at Halifax gives him. ”  Giants managing director Richard Thewlis said.

“They are a side with top four ambitions so the pressure is on every game for them to get the vital points and Tyler will be a good addition for them I am sure.

“Physically he certainly has the size needed at that level in the front row and it will be a great test for him against some good players and we hope will help to accelerate his development towards a Super League career as a Giant.”
