Giants stars hit with bans

Huddersfield’s season goes from bad to worse with the news that influential half-backs Kevin Brown and Luke Robinson have been hit with suspensions.nnThe pair appeared before an RFL disciplinary panel earlier this evening, relating to separate incidents that took place in Sunday’s 28-26 defeat at Wakefield.nnStand-off Brown, 23, has been hit with a two-match ban, after being found guilty of a spear tackle on Danny Brough, a tackle which Wakefield head coach John Kear labelled “disgraceful”. He was also found guilty of a dangerous throw, and has been landed with an additional £300 fine.nnBrough was stretchered off the Belle Vue pitch, forcing play to be held up for four minutes, before later rejoining the game.nnScrum-half Robinson was hit with a one-match ban, after he was red-carded for aiming foul and abusive language at referee Steve Ganson in the second half of the defeat. Robinson, also 23, was also fined £300.nnBrown will now miss this weekend’s home match with Harlequins, as well as the trip to St Helens the weekend after, while Robinson will just be an absentee for Harlequins’ visit.
