Hull FC coach Peter Gentle has praised his side for their 70-6 win over Bradford on Saturday.

Less than 24-hours before kick off, Bradford had been bought out of administration. With emotions running high within the Bulls camp and Hull FC looking to put their Widnes defeat behind them, Gentle was pleased to see a dominant display from his side.

He said: “We have had a lot of ups and downs this year but we have stuck together. The boys deserved that as they’ve worked really hard over the past two weeks. We had three tough training sessions at the start of the week and they got better in each one.

“We came here tonight with a semi-final mentality, we knew it would be tough and never in my wildest dreams did I think we would post a score like that. We didn’t get off to the best of starts and we were a bit rattled early on, but we got ourselves back into the game pretty quickly and I’m really proud of the boys.”
