Hull coach Peter Gentle was left frustrated as their match against Catalan was called off on Saturday.
The Airlie Birds were looking to build on their opening day draw against Warrington, but the game in Perpignan was postponed due to a frozen pitch at the Stade Gilbert Brutus.
Gentle told the club’s official website: “The boys have been exceptional. They were very disappointed when they heard the game had been called off and that’s pleasing for a coach to see.
“We were ready for Catalans. We were well prepared and we were confident of putting in a good performance, but the decision was taken out of our hands as the pitch just wasn’t safe to play on. It was as simple as that.
“They boys probably just needed to see the state of the pitch for themselves before accepting that they wouldn’t get the chance to play, but they responded very professionally once the news sunk in.”
A date for the re-arranged fixture is yet to be confirmed, but Hull are back in action on Sunday, when they host London Broncos at the KC Stadium, live on SKY Sports.
