Gee re-signs with Oldham

Oldham hooker Sam Gee has become the third player to re-sign for next season.

Gee, 26, follows on from the signings of Phil Joy and Danny Langtree.

Coach Scott Naylor said: “He’s had an outstanding season for us.

“Sam loves his rugby league, but in the couple of years or so before he came to Whitebank things hadn’t worked out for him at the clubs he was at and he had lost some of his enthusiasm.

“Everyone was talking about him when he was a kid at Wigan, and I knew that if we could put the smile back on his face we would get the best out of him.

“He’s the type of lad you want around the club and I’m delighted he’ll be with us again next year.”

Gee has scored four tries in 18 appearances for the Roughyeds so far in 2013.
