Gateshead to play at Craven Park

Gateshead’s opening Northern Rail Cup fixture against North Wales Crusaders will be played at Hull KR‘s Craven Park.

The move comes as the Thunder’s usual home, the Gateshead International Stadium, is unavailable due to the Stan Calvert competition between the Northumbria and Newcastle universities.

A club statement said: “We have been unable to find another RFL sanctioned facility for the date and were unable to agree an amended date for the fixture so therefore have no choice but to move the fixture.”

The game will be played on Sunday 10th March, 3pm kick-off.
