Gateshead confirm more games away from home

Gateshead have confirmed their next two home games will be played at Filtrona Park in South Shields.

Thunder have been left frustrated by the unavailabity of their usual home, Gateshead International Stadium, which has been hit with problems since the pitch was relaid last summer.

It has meant games have had to have been moved to other venues in the north east, and one game was played at Hull KR‘s Craven Park.

Gateshead’s clash with London on Sunday June 9, and the match against Rochdale on Sunday June 16 have now been confirmed at Filtrona Park.

The venue is the home of South Shields FC, and has a capacity of 2000.

It is currently listed as for sale at a price of £350,000, according to Pattinson business and commercial.
