The RFL have confirmed that Gareth Hock has been fined for inappropriate use of social media.

A statement on the RFL’s official website reads:

Gareth Hock has been fined £1,000 for posting inappropriate material, including the use of unacceptable language, on the social media network Twitter.

“Mr Hock was found to be in breach of RFL Operational Rule D1.1(b) conduct prejudicial to the interests of the game; Rule c2.3 unacceptable behaviour; the RFL Respect Policy; and the RFL Social Media Policy.

“The fine relates to comments made on Twitter in February 2015.”
