Castleford have moved swiftly to re-arrange their game at the weekend to avoid a clash with the England game at the football World Cup.

Immediately after England‘s victory against Slovenia, coupled with USA‘s win over Algeria, which confirmed England‘s last 16 game will be played on Sunday, the Tigers applied to the RFL to have the kick-off time of their match with Bradford brought forward to 11.30am.

Their application has been approved by the RFL after the Bulls agreed to the move, which will allow fans to watch the game without missing the England match, which is due to kick-off at 3.

Workington’s game against South Wales in Championship 1 has been brought forward two hours for a 1pm kick-off.

The Championship clash between Featherstone and Widnes is also likely to be brought forward to 1pm, with others set to follow.
