Gale delighted as Cas destroy Saints

Castleford star Luke Gale believes the squad’s togetherness is inspiring the Tigers to produce some scintillating form.

Cas put on a stunning display to defeat St Helens 53-10 in the sixth round of the Challenge Cup on Saturday and Gale says it was an enjoyable afternoon’s work.

“I think we are a group of players who enjoy playing football together – we have fun at training and we bring it onto the pitch as well,” he said.

“This was an outstanding performance and that’s what we have in the locker.

“Last season we were criticised for our defence and we knew pre-season we had to work on our defence and I think we have done that.

“We enjoy throwing that ball about and you can tell with our performance.”

  1. It makes you ashamed to be from St.Helens.That was complete humiliation on a grand scale.Saints were clueless, idealess, leaderless, and deserved to be pointless. What happened to the expansive, flowing rugby Long promised?.Kieron muat be laughing his head off,and so he should be.Utter disgrace the lot off you ( with no exceptions). If I was the new coach I would hand my notice in NOW.
