Former Wigan prop Gabe Hamlin has made a rugby league return with Cronulla Sharks in a trial match.
The 24-year-old played for the Sharks against St George Illawarra Dragons in a trial match after serving his two-year drugs ban.
Hamlin was suspended by the Warriors in April 2019 after testing positive for cocaine. His ban ended on February 7, 2021.
The Australian forward made 26 appearances for Wigan, scoring three tries.
Hamlin, who has signed with Cronulla’s feeder team Newtown Jets, came off the bench in the Sharks’ trial win over the Dragons and set up a try. Click here to watch his assist.
