Wests Tigers have been dealt a blow ahead of Saturday’s clash with the New Zealand Warriors, after losing lock Liam Fulton to injury.

Fulton, 26, has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a shoulder injury he picked up in the Tigers’ opening round loss to Canterbury on Monday night.

A club statement said: “Results of scans have shown that Fulton has a subluxed left shoulder and the Club expects him to miss between four and six weeks. Fortunately for Fulton, surgery is not required.”

Fulton, who played for Huddersfield in 2009, returned to the Tigers for a second stint last season, helping them to the preliminary final.
