Veteran prop Fuifui Moimoi has signed a new deal with Workington for 2020, aged 40!

The former Tonga and New Zealand international will play his sixth season in the British game in 2020, having played for Leigh, Toronto and Workington.

Moimoi has been at Town for the past two seasons, scoring 12 tries in 38 appearances for the Cumbrian club.

He said: “The reason I have re-signed is because I have really enjoyed my last two years with the club.

“I’ve met lots of great people within the club and the fans are awesome.

“Obviously with Chris (Thorman, coach) getting involved, I really enjoyed my time with him last year and what’s he’s done for the club.

“We have got some young, talented players that I enjoy playing with and from what I’ve seen, the other new signings are going to be just as talented.

“I can’t wait for the season to start. Hopefully Chris, his staff and the club’s hard work pays off this season and we achieve what we have all set out to do for the club.”
