Fryassinous feels Catalans left it too late

Catalans Dragons coach Laurent Frayssinous felt that his team did not time their comeback well enough against Hull KR on Thursday night.

The French team lost the Challenge Cup quarter-final tie 32-26 in the end, after conceding a 24-0 lead to Rovers early in the game.

“We left it too late, the gap was too big,” the Dragons coach told reporters.

“I’m pretty proud because the boys tried hard to stay in the game.

“Now we’re out we have to try to finish top eight.”

Frayssinous was clearly not happy with some refereeing decisions made during the game, and appeared on the touchline to speak to various match officials.

He added: “I had come down to the touchline because there were some quite poor things on the field from a lot of people.”
