From France to the USA: Samoa international Pita Godinet joins Atlanta Rhinos

Samoa international Pita Godinet has joined North American Rugby League side Atlanta Rhinos. 

The 33-year-old hooker or half-back will make the move to the USA from French Elite Championship club Villeneuve ahead of the NARL’s inaugural season which gets underway in June.

Godinet has played in two World Cups for Samoa and has won 15 caps for the Pacific island.

He has made 29 NRL appearances for New Zealand Warriors, Manly Sea Eagles and Wests Tigers.

Godinet spent two seasons in Super League with Wakefield between 2014-15, scoring 14 tries in 41 games for the English outfit.
