The holders of the Elite 2 Cup, Baho, bowed out at the first stage as their difficult start to the season continued.

Didier Meynard had a number of injuries and suspensions to deal with and they went down to Entraigues, a team they had beaten just a few weeks previous.

In the Catalans derby between Pia and Ille, the “Baroudeurs” won, to bounce back from their defeat to Villefranche.

Ille, who were without several starters, lost the game in the first half, trailing 22-0 at half time before restoring some pride after the break.

VARL and Lescure met for the second time following their previous league clash, with VARL pulling away to win in the second half.

Bousquet joins Toulouse

After two seasons with St Gaudens, Jean Baptiste Bousquet has returned to Toulouse, his first club. Still suffering from a knee injury, he should be back in action in three to four months.

Australian heads to Salon

Salon has recruited its second international player in Australian University international Declan Morrissy. A centre or back-row, he follows the signing of Alec Bush and will arrive in France in November.
