French international aims for Super League as he pens new deal with Toulouse

Josh McAllister

Toulouse have announced that French international Maxime Puech has signed a new contract with the club for the 2021 Championship season.

The forward won the French Cup Championship double when he joined Toulouse youth in 2013, and has gone on to make over 100 appearances for the Championship club.

He was appointed vice-captain ahead of the 2020 season.

“I think we were off to a good start [in 2021],” he said.

“We hadn’t found our cruising speed yet, but we were on the right track. I didn’t see myself leaving Toulouse. We expect great things from this group, this famous rise in the Super League, that is our goal. We are going to do everything to get there, we have to pass this milestone.

“It’s important for me to have great moments with this team to continue to write history. Next year will be the year of the TO XIII.”
