Frayssinous hails brave Dave

Catalans coach Laurent Frayssinous says Dave Taylor, who had taken a knock in the first half against Hull FC, played most of the second with a broken rib.

The Dragons went down 44-0 to the Black and Whites.

“Yes he played with a broken rib for most of the game. That’s brave from him and there are guys like Jason Baitieri, Remi Casti shouldn’t have played,” Frayssinous told Sky Sports.

“They have got bruises on their bodies but they want to help their team mates and they want to help the club so it’s good on them.”

Frayssinous admitted it was hard to take after seeing his team thrashed 44-0 at the KCOM Stadium.

“It’s tough, it’s embarrassing. Losing by close to 50 it’s always embarrassing. Not scoring a single point is embarrassing.

“To be honest I think the boys tried hard but we lacked some quality at some stage and that’s the difference between the two teams tonight.

“There is a confident team who is playing and low confidence in our side at the moment and plenty of injuries.”
