Frayssinous convinced Catalans will be in top eight

Laurent Frayssinous remains certain that his Catalans Dragons team will be in the top eight when Super League splits.

The French outfit were beaten 18-14 at Salford on Sunday, and Frayssinous thought it was a poor game.

He was disappointed with the way his team played, but had no significant worries about their ultimate league position.

“It was a poor game from both teams. The conditions didn’t help but it was scrappy,” he said.

“We didn’t respect the ball and our game management was poor as was our kicking.

“We weren’t smart enough in some areas and there are big areas for improvement. But I’m not worried about the top eight. We will definitely finish in the top eight.”
