Ireland international Frankie Halton has signed a new two-year extension with Hull KR. The new deal will keep the back-rower at Craven Park until at least the end of the 2025 season.

Halton made the move from Featherstone Rovers ahead of the 2022 Super League campaign.

He made his debut in Round One against Wigan, and has quickly established himself as a stand-out player within the team. He has made 15 appearances, scoring three tries in his debut season with the Robins so far.

Frankie Halton: I’m loving it

“It’s a real relief. I can knuckle down now knowing I’m going to be here for the next few years and put all my energy into KR and get us to where we should be. I’m really excited about the next three years.

“I’m loving it. I think it helps coming into a club like KR. I’ve settled in really well with the team, the club, and the city as well.

“Hull feels like home. I think that’s helped me on the pitch too. Rocking up to training every day and enjoying the people you work with, I think that’s a big help as well.

“I think we should be winning trophies in the next few years with the personnel we’re bringing in and retaining and where the club is going on and off the pitch.

“We’ve been a bit up and down with injuries and form but as a whole, the club is going in the right direction. If we can push to get in the six this year and then push to be a top-four team in the coming years, we should be competing for silverware.

“It’s good Danny (McGuire) has signed a new three-year deal too and to work with him and Willie Peters next year it’s an exciting time to be at the club.”
