France winger commits to Toulouse

France winger Ilias Bergal has signed a new two-year deal with Toulouse.

Bergal, 24, scored 14 tries in nine matches after arriving from Leigh last year, with two serious injuries keeping him on the sidelines for a prolonged spell.

He played at the 2017 World Cup and previously came through the ranks at Catalans, starring for St Esteve in the Elite 1 Championship.

Club president, Bernard Sarrazain, said: “Our supporters have only seen too little Ilias in action, unfortunately. But now that his health concerns are behind him, I know he will raise the crowds and help achieve our goal.”
