France star Lucas Albert to join Toulouse at end of Elite Championship season

Carcassonne star Lucas Albert will join Toulouse at the end of the French Elite Championship season.

The 22-year-old arrived at the Canaries from Catalans at the end of the 2020 Super League season, and has impressed in the Elite Championship this term.

Albert, who has won five caps for France, will join Championship outfit Toulouse until the end of the season once the Elite Championship season comes to a close.

Albert said: “I am very happy to come to Toulouse, I have already been very well received when I am not even part of the squad yet. I can’t wait to join the team and start playing with Toulouse.”

Toulouse president Bernard Sarrazain said: “It is a real satisfaction that Lucas is joining us and I would like to thank the leaders of Carcassonne XIII for facilitating his future transfer.

“I can’t wait to see him evolve in our colours. I am convinced that he has all the qualities required to register for the long-term at Toulouse.”
