Four Widnes players banned

Widnes will be without four players for Sunday’s league game against Batley, after the RFL disciplinary committee handed down bans yesterday.

Winger Dean Gaskell was given a two match ban after being found guilty of running in and punching during a fight in the Championship win over York on April 3.

Forwards Simon Finnigan and Danny Sculthorpe, and centre Steve Tyrer, were all handed one match bans for their part in the fracas, with all four players receiving a £50 fine.
