Penrith Panthers have signed New Zealand international Zane Tetevano on a two-year contract from Sydney Roosters.

The 29-year-old prop has made 103 appearances in the NRL for Newcastle Knights and the Roosters since making his first-grade debut in 2011.

Tetevano was linked with a move to Super League with Warrington in the off-season. He has earned three caps for the Kiwis and five caps for the Cook Islands.

He said: “I love what I see here at the Panthers and I’m genuinely excited to be part of it.

“There’s so much talent in this team and I think Ivan (Cleary, coach) and the other coaches can help take my game to another level.

“It’s my goal to keep improving every day on and off the field and to share my knowledge and experience with the younger guys.”
