Halifax have confirmed the signing of former Warrington forward Cole Oakley for the 2022 Championship season.
The 21-year-old arrives at The Shay following spells with Newcastle Thunder and a loan deal with Rochdale in League 1.
Oakley, a former Rylands Sharks and Woolston Rovers junior, can feature at both centre and back-row.
Cole Oakley on new move
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to join the Panthers this year,” he said.
“You can see the ambition of the club with the signings that have already been made in the off season, it’s going to be an exciting season in 2022.”
Head coach Simon Grix on latest signing
Head coach Simon Grix added: “Cole Oakley is coming to the club having come through the system at Warrington progressing to the first team squad.
“That team is a hard one to crack so Cole tried his hand against men for Newcastle this last year and gained some valuable experience in doing so.
“He is a good size, coming to us looking to continue his development and learn his trade. We are really pleased to be able to give him the opportunity.”
