Former Wakefield winger Kyle Evans finds new club for 2023
Former Wakefield winger and current Wales international Kyle Evans has linked up with Featherstone for the 2023 Championship campaign.
Evans, 32, made the successful code switch with Trinity during the 2022 campaign, going on to make three Super League appearances.
He was included in Wales’ 24-man squad for the delayed 2021 World Cup, and made his debut against Tonga in the group stages. Evans scored the side’s only try in the 32-6 defeat at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
The winger was released by his Super League side at the conclusion of the 2022 season.

“I am very excited to play for Featherstone,” Evans said. “They have provided an opportunity and share my ambition of playing in Super League. I’m determined to give it everything to reach that goal together.
“To be playing under coaches such as Sean Long and Leon Pryce is an opportunity not to be missed. I could not ask for a better environment in which to develop as a player.”
Head coach Long added: “Kyle is a very determined and tenacious rugby player. He has set his mind on playing rugby league and has impressed in a short space of time.
“He will add some depth to our backs and brings valuable experience as an athlete in the XV game.”
