North Wales have signed former St Helens and Warrington academy prop Jordan Olmez for the 2020 season.

The 20-year-old, who has represented England at academy level, spent the 2019 season in Australia with Mackay-based club Souths Sharks.

Wales international Rob Massam and vice-captain Karl Ashall have also signed new one-year deals with the Crusaders, while Coventry captain Chris Barratt has also joined the club for 2020.

Olmez said: “I really want to get back enjoying my rugby.

“I’ve had a year over in Australia and I’m now looking forward to getting back to it here.

“I’ve got a couple of mates at the club and I’ve only heard good things.

“It’ll be good to go in and meet everyone. You need to go into every season aiming for the top and I’m sure we’ll be doing the same.”
