Former NRL star found dead

A body believed to be that of former Parramatta player Chad Robinson has been found in a car in north-west Sydney.

Robinson went missing from his Kellyville home on 26 November.

Police have yet to confirm that it is the 36-year old’s body. A post-morten examination will be conduction to determine the cause of death.

NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg tweeted:

A Facebook page set up to raise awareness about Robinson’s disappearance posted: “It’s with a heavy heavy heart that we can confirm that Chad’s body has been found this afternoon.

“There are no words for our whole families loss and especially his two beautiful kids.

“Thank you everyone one of you for your support the last few week. Brother you were the world to all of us, I can’t imagine life without you, but you are free, fly high my beautiful brother.”

Robinson played for the Eels, Roosters and Harlequins RL.

He debuted for Parramatta in 2000 before joining the Roosters in 2002, playing in the 2003 World Club Challenge against St Helens and in the 2004 NRL grand final.

The forward rejoined the Eels in 2005, spending four seasons at the club before having a final season in Super League with Harlequins.

Robinson made 174 career appearances and played one game for NSW City.
