Wakefield have signed former Melbourne prop Scott Anderson from Brisbane Broncos on a one-year deal.

Anderson, 27, will join up with the Wildcats subject to a successful visa application, and has played in two NRL Grand Finals, including Melbourne’s win over Parramatta in 2009.

He said: “I’m really excited. It’s a new challenge for me and a big challenge to come over to Super League. I know there have been a lot of players that have come over and been successful so hopefully I can be too.”

Anderson is Wakefield’s third forward signing for 2014, following on from the captures of Daniel Smith and Richard Moore.
