Featherstone have signed former Leeds pair Josh Walters and Jack Ormondroyd.

Both players have played for Rovers before, with Walters making 21 appearances on dual-registration.

Prop Ormondroyd, who has made 76 appearances for Featherstone, was last contracted to Rovers in 2016 before moving on to Leeds.

He said: ”It’s good to be somewhere where I can really be part of it and get some consistency.

“My best season was my final year at Featherstone, so now I want to get back to that.”

“The squad’s looking really good for this season and I’ve really enjoyed working with Ryan and going through things individually with him.

“Now I just want to get stuck in. I think we’ll do really well this season.”

Ormondroyd, 27, is three short of a century of professional appearances, having also played for York.

Utility Walters, 24, scored for Leeds in their 2015 Super League Grand Final win over Wigan and has 89 professional appearances under his belt.

He said: “I’m really excited to get involved. I’ve been down for a a couple of games already this year, but it’s good to make the move here.

“It’s a really good squad this year at Featherstone and Ryan’s come in as coach.

“He’s done a lot of one-to-one stuff with me already, which is a really positive thing.

“Now I just want to give my all for Featherstone.”
