Parramatta Eels half back and captain Kieran Foran has been stood down indefinitely by the club to deal with personal issues.

The Daily Telegraph in Australia has revealed that Foran has been in hospital this week regarding concerns over the star’s wellbeing and health.

Foran has been missing from the Eels training all week, leading to the NRL boss, Todd Greenberg, to be alerted to the situation regarding Foran and has offered to provide support in any way that the NRL can.

“The Parramatta Eels have granted Kieran Foran an indefinite leave of absence to seek the best possible medical treatment regarding a personal matter,” a statement from the Eels said on Thursday.
