Foran cleared for NRL return

The NRL has cleared suspended star Kieran Foran to return to the playing field with the New Zealand Warriors in round three.

Foran has satisfied the NRL’s integrity unit that he is a fit and proper person and will be available for Warriors coach Stephen Kearney against Canterbury in round three.

Foran left Parramatta last year and walked out on the game because of a raft of personal issues. The Kiwi halfback then signed with the Warriors.

“The NRL said today it has registered the contract of Kieran Foran to play with the New Zealand Warriors,” the NRL said in a statement.

“However, Foran will not be permitted to play until round three and his return is subject to a further psychological assessment to ensure he is in the right frame of mind to play in the NRL.”
