Five Championships players charged

Four Kingstone Press Championship players and one Championship One player have been charged with committing disciplinary offences during recent fixtures.

North Wales Crusaders player Michael Platt has been charged with the Grade A offence of punching in the 45th minute of the Championship fixture against Barrow Raiders on Sunday February 16.

Jay Pitts and Russ Spiers of Doncaster have both been charged with the Grade B offence of making a dangerous throw in the 4th minute of the match at Workington Town on Sunday February 16.

Sheffield Eagles player Peter Green has been charged with Grade A punching in the 10th minute of a pre-season friendly against York City Knights at Huntington Stadium on Sunday February 9.

Jack Aldous of York City Knights has been charged with Grade B punching in the 10th minute of the same fixture.

Platt, Pitts, Spiers and Green have until 11.00am on Tuesday February 26 to submit Early Guilty Pleas. Aldous did not have the option of submitting an EGP and will appear before an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal on Tuesday evening.
