First NRL games live on Sky Sports revealed

Sky Sports have revealed the two games they will be showing on the opening weekend of the NRL season.

Although nothing has been formally announced, Sky Sports will carry live coverage from Down Under this season alongside a new streaming service provided by Fox Sports.

It means NRL action will no longer be shown by Premier Sports, who had previously held the UK rights since 2013.

The NRL season kicks off on Thursday March 8, with Sky Sports Arena due to televise South Sydney Rabbitohs v New Zealand Warriors and Canterbury Bulldogs v Melbourne Storm on Saturday March 10.

Saturday March 10 – 10am – Canterbury Bulldogs v Melbourne Storm
Saturday March 17 – 6.30am – Penrith Panthers v South Sydney Rabbitohs
Saturday March 17 – 8.30am – Melbourne Storm v Wests Tigers
Saturday March 24 – 6.30am – South Sydney Rabbitohs v Manly Sea Eagles
Saturday March 24 – 8.30am – Parramatta Eels v Cronulla Sharks
Saturday March 31 – 7.30am – Sydney Roosters v New Zealand Warriors
