Featherstone win Women’s Challenge Cup

Featherstone Rovers Ladies have won the Women’s Challenge Cup defeating Bradford Thunderbirds 46-0.

Lindsay Anfield scored a hat trick as Rovers left Bradford struggling to compete in the ladies game’s showpiece final.

Andrea Dobson touched down twice for Featherstone, while Emma Slowe, Dani Titterington, Dani Bound and Paula McCourt added to Bradford’s woes in a one sided final.

Meanwhile Widnes Vikings Ladies were victorious in the Women’s Challenge Shield Final defeating Stanningley 40-12.

Tara Jane Stanley and Gemma Stanley scored two tries while Laura Burke, Rebecca Sloan and Victoria Whitfield added solitary tries.

Stanningley replied with tries from Manina Spurr and Helen Martin.
