Featherstone sign Dale Ferguson on loan

Featherstone have signed Dale Ferguson on a month’s loan from Huddersfield.

Ferguson, 31, hasn’t featured for the Giants this season through injury and moves to the Championship side to gain match fitness.

Giants managing director, Richard Thewlis, said: “After a long period out Dale is now ready to play and needs game time to force himself into Simons thinking fully match fit and ready to go.

“The opportunity at a club local to him where he has friends quickly presented itself and we thank Steve Gill and the Featherstone Club for this opportunity.”

Ferguson came through the ranks at Featherstone Lions, and as well as two spells at Huddersfield, has played for Wakefield, Hull KR and Bradford.

He was named Scotland captain back in October, and has won 11 caps at international level.
