Featherstone sign Dakota Whylie on dual-registration

Alex Yoxall

Whylie, 20, is a rugby league novice – with much of his development occurring at ruby union club, Brodleians.

Since switching code at 17, his improvement has been dramatic and has seen him earn contracts with both Leeds Rhinos and Halifax.

On the deal, Whylie said: “I’ve been given the opportunity to join Featherstone and I couldn’t be more excited!”

He will now be available for selection in Featherstone Rovers head coach John Duffy’s squad to face Toronto Wolfpack on Saturday.

If selected he will be playing on what will also be his 21st birthday – the potential present being the number 38 shirt.
