Featherstone Rovers utility Craig Hall says his side have what it takes to make Super League this season.

Hall, 33, joined Featherstone ahead of the 2020 season. He featured in their Grand Final defeat to Toulouse in 2021, but believes his side can go all the way this year.

The Hull-born utility has featured in Super League for Hull FC, Hull KR and Wakefield, and knows what it takes to make the top flight.

Third time luck for Featherstone Rovers?

He said: “The squad on paper is obviously very good. A few more additions recently which can only make us better.

“Joey (Leilua) flew in last week. He’d probably walk into any team in Super League on his day.

“We just need to take last year’s disappointment and go that one further this year.”

Featherstone v York live on Premier Sports

Featherstone’s opening Championship clash with York will be aired live on Premier Sports in the first edition of Monday Night Rugby League.

Presenter Emma Jones will be joined by a star-studded punditry team, including Leon Pryce, Jodie Cunningham and Kevin Brown throughout the 2022 campaign.

“Any kind of coverage is great for the league and great for the club,” said Hall.

“Obviously two big games to start with both Monday nights. The lads are looking forward to it. We’ve got to wait that extra day unlike everyone else to kick off, but the boys are excited.”

Craig Hall handed number four shirt

The utility has changed positions for 2022, moving from the full-back spot to the centres.

He has received the number four shirt for 2022, with Joey Leilua at number three. And Hall is happy to play anywhere for Rovers.

Hall added: “Last year I played full-back, wing, centre. I’ve been given the number four shirt this year. The centre is somewhere I played growing up as a kid. I’m very familiar with it.

“I’ll always put my hand up to play wherever is needed.”
