Featherstone launch 2011 strips

Championship minor premiers Featherstone have launched their new home and away strips for the 2011 season.

The kits are made by Italian company MACRON, suppliers to Leeds United, West Ham, Bologna and Monaco football teams, and combine the traditional colours of Rovers with a modern approach.

Rovers’ director Andrew McNeil said: “Rovers have throughout most of the club’s history been associated with the classic combination of deep blue and white hoops. All our playing outfits and the replicas that go with them have had an element of that design in them, but we feel that this is the best interpretation yet.

“In working with MACRON, we feel that we have found an ideal partner. They are up to the minute in their concepts, but sensitive to tradition, as well as producing quality gear. I am sure these two designs will be a massive success, incorporating what’s great about the tradition and the modern era we are now in.”

The shirts go on sale to season ticket holders at the Bigfella Stadium from Thursday 2nd December, and go on general sale from Saturday 4th December.
