Featherstone Rovers have released half-back Ryley Jacks ahead of the 2023 Championship season.

The 30-year-old had made the switch from Down Under ahead of the 2022 campaign from Melbourne Storm. He made 24 appearances for Featherstone, scoring 19 tries.

Jacks was expected to play on with Rovers for the 2023 campaign under newly appointed head coach Sean Long. However, Featherstone have confirmed that the playmaker will return back home to Australia.

“I want to thank everyone at the club for giving me the opportunity to go over and play in England,” he said.

“It has been one of the most enjoyable experiences for me and my young family. I was lucky to come over to a club where the playing group are so welcoming and the fans are so passionate.

“The memories I made will stay with me forever and I wish the club all the best in 2023.”
