Featherstone attitude needs to improve, admits John Duffy

Featherstone coach John Duffy has said his teams attitude needs to improve after losing to London.

The Rovers fell short to the Broncos 44-24 at the Ealing Trailfinders Sports Club on Sunday, with London now being at the top of the Betfred Championship table.

And Duffy was disappointed with his sides attitude and wants it to improve against Sheffield Eagles this weekend.

He said: “We knew what was coming our way and I don’t think our attitude was right, which is down to me to sort out.

“We didn’t deal with what London threw at us – and we had practised for it all week.

“If you look at the personnel we had out on the field, though, we should not have been in that position.”

“But we have to be better and have to be tough on ourselves going into this weekend.”

The former Scotland assistant coach revealed that there were a couple of things that the Rovers did well.

He added: “The fact we managed to score tries and create chances while down to 12 men was a positive, I guess.

“Towards the end of the game, we appeared more relaxed with the scoreboard out of reach and played some better stuff.”

Featherstone welcome Sheffield to the LD Nutrition Stadium this Sunday in round four of the Betfred Championship, 3pm kick-off.
