Featherstone and Halifax youngsters handed eight match bans

Featherstone youngster Lewis Jones and Halifax’s Lewis Holliday have been suspended for eight matches following a brawl during a recent Under 19s game.

Jones was found guilty of committing a Grade F violent punching off the bench offence, while team-mate Bradley Knowles was suspended by five games for a sustained punching offence.

Holliday was guilty of a Grade E sustained punching from off the bench offence in the same incident.

Featherstone pair Joe Fox and Jack Beddis were suspended for two and one games respectively, for their respective punching offences.

Elsewhere, Hull’s Tom Shark and Alex Sterling and Warrington’s Marcus Elliott and Sean Henney have all been handed one-match bans for punching offences during their game last month.
